São Jorge no Líbano

 

     No Líbano ,  existem muitos devotos de São Jorge ,  inclusive muitos Libaneses possuem esse nome

" Jorge " em homenagem ao  Santo . 

A Catedral Ortodoxa Grega de Antioquia , esta localizada em Beirute ,  é a Igreja  mais antiga da cidade . Foi construída  no século XII  . No local da Catedral da Ressurreição. Infelizmente foi destrida com o forte terremoto ocorrido na cidade em 551. 

Os fiéis lotam os lugares do Santo de devoçâo. 

Alguns Libaneses possuem a estátua de 

São Jorge em casa e homenageam o Santo. 

Alguns lugares essa data é feriado .

The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Antioch, located in Beirut, is the oldest church in the city. It was built in the 12th century. On the site of the Resurrection Cathedral. Unfortunately, it was destroyed by the strong earthquake that occurred in the city in 551.

The faithful crowd the places of devotion to the Saint.

Some Lebanese have the statue of

São Jorge at home and honor the Saint.
